I picked up this multi-fuel driven generator this weekend. Does anyone on the forum have any information about Leroy-Somer generators with an LDS-465-1A engine? Is this ex-military or a commercial application? The engine looks to me to have been original to the generator. Interesting pull stop cable and governor setup. Would like to find a manual before I tear this baby down. Thanks in advance.

That is pretty darn cool. I wouldn't mind finding one of those. Wonder if the gen head could be easily replaced with a smaller unit? 100Kw would run my house, my mom's house, my neighbors houses....

Contact Emerson industrial (parent company of Rigid pipe tools). Leroy-Somer is somehow tied into emerson's power generation division. Not sure if they are owned by them or just a distributor for their products but the name lives on in some sort of entity.
