G'day everyone,....

Will be going out to get the final piece of paperwork tomorrow morning for its registration.
Will take some video of the trip, also the next day I will install the new battery box and do a few little jobs on it.
Will get a chance to use the windscreen wipers tomorrow if it rains like it did today.
I will give my Deuce a clean inside and polish the windows etc.
This weekend is going to be fun.
Once I have this paperwork I will then have it fully registered on Monday as I will lodge it on my way into work Monday and then I can go where I want when I want.
But right now I am using a temporary permit to drive it un-registered and that runs out in 2 days.
As for upgrades, the only one I hade in mind was to get a Whistler turbo a I love the sound.
But I might look into a VIC-1 Coms system a lot of people here use in their Deuce's.
That should round it out nicely.

C'mon Ahab, you don't think I can negotiate a Deuce around in there??
I can put extra air in the front tyres to lighten the steering a little,....

Hi Aussie...

Nice video. The truck really does run well! [thumbzup]

Have to say though... seeing the vehicles come at you in the righthand lane... well...
It takes some getting used to, having driven all my life on North American roads.

Went and collected my Deuce from where I am storing it and found I have a flat tyre, left inner rear-rear.
:(

I need to get myself a breaker bar and then I can change the wheel.
I have the tools for the wheel nuts and studs but I need the bar for it so until then I guess I am stranded at home,....
I'll get one this coming week.

Is your air pack vent still connected to the road draft tube? There was a mwo to disconnect it and route it above the airfilter housing.

When the air pack( brake booster) has an internal leak, brake fluid mysteriously disappears and eventually comes out that vent line. It is very hard to notice without the mwo.

Well, it's always SOMETHING, right!? Not to worry, it just comes with the territory.

I know what it is,...

This is the Honeymoon period and we are getting to know each other,...
I am being tested to see if I will love it enough to treat it right for a Long term relationship.

That's what's happening.

The Flat tyre, the fuel leak, the brake fluid issue, its all to test me.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I have a air line from the airpack that go's to the fuel tank, should I disconnect that?
Is that what I need to route up to the air filter?

Billy Baird worked building the Burma Railroad as a P. O.W.

There was a vid history about that Burma Railroad posted recently.

A good man. He lived through it. God bless him. Amen

G'day everyone,.....

Long story made short:

About 3.5 months ago I took my Deuce seats into a upholsterer to get them all recovered.

Got the drivers seat base done.

Then he went on holiday to the US for a month.

2 weeks after he gets back my seats are still NOT done.

Another 2 weeks later, Still not done, had to much other work on to get to finish my job.

Another few weeks, he has LOST my drivers seat back!

Then he ran out of material.

Few weeks ago I find out manufacturer of canvas that I am recovering my seats in is doing another production run this last week.

Has now FOUND my previously lost seat back.

I should have my seats recovered by end of this week.

I am planning on collecting my seats next Saturday and installing them.

Pics will follow.

Can't wait to get my Deuce back out on the roads and into the bush tracks,...

G'day everyone,...

Sorry I found this thread so late.

Anyone know of an agent That can import to Melbourne?

I am also looking at getting an M35A2-C with winch and Bow/covers and even thinking of a trailer to go with it.

Aussie.

Going way back in time to one of my very first posts, if not my actual first post, I guess I have now fulfilled my wish to get a Deuce and a M105A2 trailer to go with it.

Yes, that's right, I now as of last week now have a M105A2 trailer, I now just have to sort out shipping it home.

This one should be easier than it was shipping my Deuce home.

Hoping to have it ready to play with by the end of the year or early next year at the latest.
