Pull front drive shaft on 5-tons with Sprags?
I remembered this old post when a retired motorpool hand told me this week to pull the front drive shaft on my 5-ton. He said they took off the front drive shaft and put them behind the seat for those trucks running mainly on the highway. He said the Sprags would commonly (10-20% of the time) be fighting the rear axles and end up cupping the front tires (like mine
).
Anyone else pull 5-ton front drive shafts? Does it help with tire wear?
