I searched the Forums and am lost on this question. I am going to replace leaking right rear seal in my M1009. I know the TM shows adding 80/90 would It hurt to add a heavier weight oil? Is there any recommendations? I have no idea on this subject.

1009's have a locker? I thought the 08's only had them. If your talking about the gov bomb gm made. It shouldn't need an additive. It's not a LSD. Lockers don't require special additives.

its a clutch pack locker... thats the type you NEED the stuff in. In most cases if it was used before you really dont need it because it has soaked in to the packs... but if it has been flushed a few times use it. Cant hurt it.
