Baldwin Filters - Reasonably priced Internet supplier

The "Multifuel Filter and Gasket Interchange" technical article http://www.steelsoldiers.com/index.php?module=pagesetter&func=viewpub&tid=3&pid=17
suggests that Baldwin filters are the best fit for Deuce fuel and oil filters. The author of the article, Bomar76, mentioned he get his filters from TruckPro www.truckpro.com and pays $6.95 for the oil, $5.29 for the primary fuel, and $6.45 for the secondary fuel filters. The article wasn't dated but looks like has been around for a while so I'd guess TruckPro's prices might have gone up a little in the meantime. Plus, TruckPro seems to be a Texas area supplier, which is not too convenient for me as I live in Michigan.

I tried the Baldwin website dealer locator to find a local dealer who carries Baldwin products. The closest were a couple of heavy truck dealers about 100 miles from me.

I did find a link to a Internet supplier of Baldwin products, B-Line Filter & Supply Inc http://www.blinefilter.com/. I placed an order through them for two P20HD oil filters at $5.47 each, one PF906 primary fuel filter ay $4.16 and two PF902 secondary fuel filters at $5.06 each. The parts totaled $25.22 plus $7.32 UPS shipping for a grand total of $32.54, which I thought was pretty reasonable, not to mention saving to drive a 200 mile round trip to possible pay a higher price at a truck parts outlet.

I placed the order on Monday night March 27, the parts were shipped from Odessa, TX on Tuesday March 28, and I had them in my hand the following Monday, April 3rd. Pretty decent prices, fast delivery and several emails to keep me up to date on my shipping progress. I was very pleased with thier service.

The only item they did not have in stock were the correct G241 fuel filter gaskets at $0.66 each. They told me they would have them in a few days and will mail them at no charge.

I guess I could have gone with WIX/NAPA/Advance Auto parts filters, but I didn't want to mess with removing the metal seal to make the filters fit, and Baldwin sounds like the better filter anyhow.

If anyone else is having trouble finding filters for their truck, I'd strongly suggest B-Line. They do NOT have the correct 410 CFM Donaldson air filters though, unless someone can come up with a civilian part number for the military stock number.

That link is over 7 1/2 year old. There have been a couple of system crashes since then.

A lot of things change over time.

Usafilterstore.com has pretty good prices. I got all 5 filters for ~35 shipped I think. It should have been more but their system screwed up I think they only charged me for 3. Either way it'd have been under $50 shipped.

I just picked up a set of filters for the deuce, both oil and all three fuel filters, for $33.03. He had to order the G241 gaskets. Interestingly, he asked what I was working on a Detroit, I said no a deuce, and he said, "huh, those are the same filters that an old Detroit takes." Things you learn by talking to people.

A lot if the old links do not work now
Yup, there's a lot of stuff that happened in the past I have no control over. (Moving from different types of software, servers, crashes) Unfortunately lots of the old old stuff is gone. :(

B line is where I got my hastings spin on conversion for the NHC250 at a price no one else came close to.

Fast order, good communication, and I got the feeling they will stand behind their products. Luckily no reason to test that. :)

Ron,

I got the spin on conversion in place of the canister/cartridge set up not a remote or bypass filter.

The spin on conversion is a hastings KF26 or a Baldwin OB1368

I know that but I was thinking that the company might have the adaptor for remote filters.
