I run two large 12volt batteries in my m818, and I am told it needs four. I have had no problems at all but, should I add in two more???

Lots of folks run 2 instead of 4. If you lived in the north, then you might need 4 to have enough juice to keep rolling that NHC250 over.

No, the four is just for the extra reserve in case it gets cold.

As u can see it is a matter of opinion. 24 volt is 24 volt with 2 or 4 batts, it is as easy as it seams, the more batts increases the cranking time and umph so to say, but for me if the truck takes four it gets four, one can always do less and get by,

You will be fine down there with 2 I cant say the same up here in NY, my 4 just got the girl kickin the other day 1 shot at starting it up here right now.

I run two group 31's with no issues....plus you get more storage by using only two batteries
