Mods, I apologize if this is really supposed to be in the for sale section, but I think this might be a little different. I have no interest in this business. I was surfing the net and found these, and thought fellow Goat owners would be interested.
I think I found some Goat battery box straps, the pre-made ones that rivet together. Army Surplus Warehouse, in Idaho Falls, has them on their website. If you go to their "Hardware" section, and then go to page 5, about halfway down you see "Rivet Style Gas Can Straps." ($6.99)
I have seen these before, and I am thinking they are the end that loops through the gas tank and rivets to itself in order to secure the fiberglass battery box.
If SS has a member closer than myself, it might be a good idea to pick one up and measure it. (Might be able to call them and simply have them measure it and compare with a known strap.)
