Behr paint on interior

All,

I am looking to paint the interior of my cab with the same paint used on the exterior. The exterior was painted with Behr Marquee and is battleship gray.

The dash may be a different color, but I am generally sticking with the battleship gray and black theme.

I don’t want to bring in a big spray rig (I would have to borrow it anyway from a family member). I do have several car paint sprayers. I have a few HVLP and a LVLP sprayers. I also have one HVLP for primers that has larger nozzle.

I could also buy a cheap electric sprayer…

What do you recommend I use to spray the interior?

What kind of thinning ratio if any?

My preference would be the smaller HVLP’s because I think I would have better control.

Thanks in advance!

Apologies to all paint professionals, but I believe that you are overthinking this.

I paint my truck with Behr and I realize that, when the truck was in service, it was painted with a mop.

Anything I do is a vast improvement.

I use a cheap small hvlp gun and a 5 gallon air compressor. I thin the Behr paint with water by feel/look, in the spray reservoir.

And...it goes on beautifully.

Now, if you are after a classic car restoration finish, this won't work. For a nice looking army truck it seems to work just fine!

If you want to spray your floors with bed liner, that would be the time to do it!
