This Saturday, 12 September, at the Bennett Colorado VFW, the MVCC will be displaying some of their member collector vehicles. The Club will provide coffee and donuts, the VFW will provide lunch. Come hang out with us and enjoy the "Bennett Days Parade!" Staging time is 0830 to 0915.

Wow, that is something I really would have been interested in. Already have commitments now so won't be able to make it this year. Is this something that happens every year at the same time? I have a 1962 M151 that I would bring. Thanks Larry

I'll see what's shakin' Saturday. My wife and I are both in school, so Saturdays are often crunch day.

BTW, got any decent used truck batteries laying around? My deuce batteries are both 8 or 9 yr. old and one has crapped out. I don't want to buy 1 new one and match it up with an old one.

Thanks for your interest Larry. This is the Club's first year of doing this event, so if we behave ourselves they may ask us to come back again next year. The City of Bennett probably has their city celebration every year about this time, I'm not positive though as I don't live in town. In my sig line you'll find a link to the Club's website, you can keep tabs on our other events you may be interested in.

Looks like you're going to have to find 2 of them Arlyn, I have no good batteries laying around...quite a few to go to the recycler though.

We would enjoy your company at the event, do I need to give you a "wake-up" call? LOL.
Thanks for the memories. That sounded like something my Drill Sargent would have kindly whispered just before his right number 12 made a hard landing on my LZ Brown. No worries though, as I will be a#*holes and elbows into the day in plenty of time. As they will likely have main street closed down for the days events is there a preferred route to get to the VFW from the I 70 side?:driver:

I do see it's the morning, but I'd have to be out if there at 11 to make it back, then back to Denver to get ready for the next gig. Cutting it too close. I'm in Westminster, the truck is in Dacono.

We had a good time, did the parade, had lunch on the VFW, sat up our display and huddled under the shade canopy for some good 'ol Club comeraderie. We had 2 Deuces, a 5 ton gasser, a Gama Goat, a CUCV ambulance and a HMMWV, an excellent variety of vehicles. Our next event will be the Denver Veterans Day Parade. Keep in touch!
