Best option to replace fuel filter base cucv

What is the best way to go, I want to replace my stock fuel filter base on my M1009, I think I would like to keep the fuel heater, do not care about the water indicator.

I too would be interested in knowing this and am scouring the threads for the answer. I keep coming up with this thread though.

I used a civilian model on mine but no heater. off a 86 sub.
