Oh yeah, for the flat spots (and this works with any bias ply...or even radial when it's cold as hell out) after you start the vehicle after it's sat for a while move it a few feet so the flat spots are no longer on the bottom of the tires. Let it sit that way for a few minutes and the flat spot should be much less noticeable when you're heading down the road.
