Blackout / service light switch leave on or off?

I've read a lot about this but haven't found an answer, is it OK to leave the switch in service light mode even if the truck is shut off and not used, the problem is I usually don't remember to flip it on until I'm down the road aways and forget that it kills the brake lights and signals.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you make sure the headlight switch is off.

Yes, all the switch does is pass power to the circuit. Leave it in "service drive" and forget it.
