I received a 1984 M1009 CUCV today and noticed that when I turn on the lights the passenger side front blinker comes on automatically. It does not go off unless I turn on the drivers side blinkers or turn the lights off. Does anyone else have these issues? What could could cause this to happen and what can I do to fix it? Thank you very much.

Check the ground wires for the headlights and the metal tabs in the bulb sockets for the turn signals. Both are known to cause problems.

:ditto: Even after I have cleaned and replaced the bulbs ( two years ago ), every once in a while I'll have simular problems. Usually it's the little ground tab that Warthog speaks of.
