It helps keep power lines from getting hung up on the turret. Most all of the Power lines here are just a few feet off of the ground and are always getting caught on our trucks or tracks.

Steal the wire cutter off the upper fuselage of a OH-58D, and mount it on the top of the turret.
Besides, we're the only ones who should be watching CNN in Iraq anyways!
