Brake Light isn't working

I looked this up a bit and learned there's a brake light switch that controls this, where is this part located at and how do I diagnose it? Also, I heard there's a box for the signal too that can cause this, where would that be at?

it's on your brake pedal.

you do have your light switch set to the right position ?

Found it, and yes its set to the right position, its been working fine for about a year and just decided to go out, the signal lights and everything else is working perfectly fine

Those brake switches get a bad spot inside or go bad....try unhooking it from lever and cycling switch, and readjust location a little.
If bad , I have replacements.
