Brakes and Vacuum booster

I picked up a 1942 International fire truck, class 125 former military truck. The truck is in solid shape, having been garaged most of it's life. My question is related to the brakes. I have bleed the break lines and removed the air, and I still have no brakes. I'm not sure how to test the master cylinder or the vacuum booster on a truck this old. Any help and ideas would be appreciated. Thanks: Don

Welcome to SteelSoldiers. Great looking truck. Thanks for saving her. I has a 1968 Fire Truck from the Rocky Mountain Arsenal.

IH trucks are refered to as CornBinders or Binders. There are multiple website devoted specificaly to them.

I have a few manuals that may help with your problem.

I think, that just bleeding the brakes on such an old truck will not do it. For my opinion, the brake system must be taken out of the truck, disassembled, overhowled, reassembled and than good luck.
