broken M1008 transfer adapter

I made the mistake of buying a TH400 to NP208 transfer adapter from Boyce Equipment. It lasted less than 1000 miles- they don't seem to be interested in "making it right".

Does anybody have one of these rare (and vitally necessary) items, or do you know where to find one?

Is there a billet machined aftermarket adapter available? I'm seriously considering machining it myself out of cold rolled steel.

how did you brake it? I have snapped trans in half but never lost the adapter.

The original ones are cast. If he machines one out of CRS, that woild be stronger and last even longer.

Most aftermarket ones are aluminum. Crs would be better

check your front u joint that will cause a t case adapter or bell housing to to break if its tight it will give a vibration that will do that everytime .it turns the driveshaft into a whip and with the weight of the t case nothing good can happen .we change 5- 10 t case adapters a year for that very reason

I believe it already had the cracks in it, and with the bit of driveshaft rumble I have it finished it off.

I notice the civvy model doesn't have the high base like the M1008. I'm assuming the bolt pattern's the same. Maybe I could add a spacer to the base to make the height?
