The last few days my phone has really objected to the data network so I havent been able to get on.
I spent last. Night near Ft Campbell, got to see my brother for a bit. From here I'll be heading down 24 to Nashville, east on 40 to Greensboro, down 421 on into my destination.
I was having power problems and severe regrets about the tire upgrade while I was driving through Wyoming. It wasn't until I hit lower elevations in Eastern Colorado that I realized I had all those troubles above 6000 feet. I think it was the altitude that screwed with me, things are back to normal now and brutus is running well again.
From Alaska through Colorado peoples rection to Brutus was for the most part positive. Some people chose to ignore us, but lots if waves, pictures, thumbs up, and conversations at fuel stops. Going through Kansas, Missouri and Illinois on the other hand, not quite positive. There I got mouth hanging open surprise, angry disbelief, and one girl in a car that probably cost as much as my first house looked very shocked and disgusted that anyone would have the nerve to invade her senses with such a grotesque machine.
Last night I parked in what at one point was a gas station and now is an over grown lot. I came out in the morning to see a school bus driver videoing me from across the street. I waved trying to be friendly, she ignored me and after a bit left. Not long after a deputy shows up in the same spot oriented on me. Through my pre run inspection he repositioned a few times but always oriented on me. I waved as I drove off but he only glowered at me.
So far in Kentucky all seems well again. We'll see as the day progresses. I am really thinking any paint job other than flat black needs to happen reletively soon.
About Time to get back on the road. Here are a few pictures. I have more video and will post it in a few days.
