Hi, first, thank you for accepting my application to Steel Soldiers. I have recently become the proud owner of a Dodge WC 51 Weapons Carrier which I believe would have been manufactured in 1944 as it is a factory 12 volt model, chassis number 81726407 and engine number T214-I99031. This vehicle has not been registered in Australia before to my knowledge and our DMV requires a build date for registeration.

And have your local historic military club vouch for the manufacture date from that kindly posted data.
As I know all too well just how bureaucratic it can be over there.

Thanks for this, I shall go with late 1944, I have just got my wheel rims back from having the old tyres removed ready for sandblasting, painting and fitting new tyres before approaching Regency Park and see that all the wheels are dated in the last half of 1944, this and it being a 12 volt model would suggest that we would be close to the correct date, my chassis number is 81726407 which is close to the end of the manufacturing run. Shall post some photos when I sget it on the road.
