Build/lot numbers

I found plenty of info on build numbers for deuces but not much for other trucks. The system is similar, I just need a nudge here.

This link kind of explains how the numbers work but doesn't list the codes for 5 tons: https://www.militarytrader.com/military-vehicles/dating-deuce-g-742-2-12-ton-cargo-truck-production

My data plate says "General Products Division" so probably built in South Bend.
I suspect that the "05A" indicates a vanilla 5-ton wo/w. Confirm or deny? The "71" at the end, is the build year. What is the "846?"

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
