Building a start pre-lube system

It has always bothered me how much my motor rattled until pressure came up. I also start the thing a dozen times a day or more and I have felt that has to be hard on it. One shop I consulted with about my string of blown motors also thought those could be related to how often I start it, they wanted me to let it idle all day. Well I can't and someplace on here I read another account that swore idling the nhc250 all day is very hard on it. So in a world of contradictory experts I went with the one thing I know for certain, oil = good, no oil = bad.

I pull from the bottom of the suction line fitting, run it though 300psi transmission hose to a pump mounted up where the old ether start used to sit. From there I pump it down to close to the truck's oil filter where I have mounted a Fram P8A car oil filter. I then pump that filtered oil in front of the motor to the oil cooler test port where I have mounted a 400 PSI one way check valve. Once the engine develops pressure that slams closed and prevents back flow. The pump is triggered using the old ether start switch in the dash. I don't mention it in the video but I am not driving the pump directly through the switch. I am switching a relay. I am using the 24v ether solenoid feed power and using that to switch a relay. Relay should draw less so I imagine it will be fine. Very inelegantly I have tapped power from the starter motor terminals using an inline fuse. After the system has proved itself I will transfer those feeds to the auxiliary fusebox under the passenger seat for a cleaner look.

Disclaimer: You undertake any project like this at your own risk. Lots of opportunity for failure here. I will update my video if anything changes long term.
