Hey guys thought I would ask here to get some real world answers, before I call the CBP. I want to buy a set of axles for my suburban that are in Canada. Anybody here bring truck parts back into the States, if so whats required? I will be going into Canada to pick these up.

.......and be prepared for a complete invasive search of your car and person, it happens. We should all know by now that this is mostly done with technology before we get to the border. They'll often ask you to park and go in to pay any taxes, fines or fees. I keep a separate piece of paper with a total of costs, taxes and a 'historical truck' description of parts when I arrive at the border. Makes it easier for everyone. Fighter aircraft and engines are difficult to cross with.

If you check here http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/menu-eng.html for times it helps a little. With respect to our French families all over the world, follow the rules and welcome to the great white north.

good one, what better than 2 canucks making fun of us, I remember one guy trying to get a F4 home from Vietnam about 20 years ago through Canada , everything was fine until he got to the US border , he was arrested at the US border and charged with trading with the enemy (Vietnam), DO NOT HAVE ANY WEAPONS IN THE VEHICLE! our laws are different , something like NJ
