Well, it only took me 2 years to get around to it but I finally swapped out the "D" turbo in favor of the "C" on my dropside. It's actually pretty quiet compared to the screamer on my old M275A2. My question is this, as you increase fuel rate, you notice and increase in boost pressure. Has anyone noted that their "C" turbo screams more as the fuel rate is increased? I did drill the manifold and install a thermocoupler for the pyro. I'll work on that next week.

If you have not got the probe yet Kenny, DH has found some cheap. (Should have known the "back door man" would know where to go for probes!)

Good to see you adding instrumentation, Kenny. Don't compromise on the thermocouple probe selection, get the best, a failed one will ruin your turbo.

Got the Hewitt stuff. The probe is brand new. Gauge is an NOS International Harvester assy which was checked bu the local gauge and speedo shop. It's good stuff!

When I cranked up the fuel on the c turbo, the engine barked more. Turbo spun faster, but not much noisier. Just a higher pitch under load.
