Anyone had experience with G.L. at Camp Shelby, Mississippi?
Never been to that base but will be going in a month or so.
Inquiring minds need to know.
After all, you can't have just one!

My former unit had a brigade there so I spent a lot of time at "Camp Swampy". :D
I've picked up there before and had almost zero trouble with the GL folks. [thumbzup]
When I picked up my wrecker and two deuces I had to deal with GL and folks from the MS Nat Guard. Appearently some items are listed on GL but still belong to them. I still had no probs getting my vehicles. :driver:
As with all military installations have your ducks in a row......Drivers license, picture ID for everyone with you, insurance cards for your vehicles, no weapons with you.
Also don't show up looking like Charlie Manson.......they do strip search  .

there are no gl personel there ,just mil. people who represent them . nearest gl is in eglin . contact them get a contact # for shelby and carry phone with you. i stood in front of one drmo compound with a full bird who worked out of the building who swore up and down it wasn,t there .so make sure you have a phone and a contact #.but there is a plus the people who do it are extremely helpful and nice. to get on base follow the afore mentioned base rules. and always the back gate. hot and humid doesn't fully describe it, here now. dud ps : did i mention there are no phones out there
