Fixed the title. No "G" no "G" for the love of God, no "G"
From my understanding, the GM 8.2 isn't the greatest engine. I think they had a lot of head and head gasket problems. Having said that, my Uncle has one in a C60 he uses on the farm that hasn't gave him any trouble but it only sees light use.How about an 8.2 Detroit fuel pincher V-8? We ran these engines in our deuces up here in Canada. Instead of a manual shift tranny, we had Allison MT643 automatics behind them.
The 8.3 looks quite a bit bigger than the 6.7, which is similar to the 5.9.Isn't a 5.9 about the same as a 8.3? (Yes, I know there are differences but I'm talking size.)
If that is the case then yes, it would be a tight fit like a 5.9.
And Deuce is spelled Deuce, not duece. And yes to Pat, there is no G in Cummins.
