Found several brackets and plates scattered through my HMMWV and am curious what they are. I figured out the one at the bottom of the pic is a steering column support but not sure about the rest. Checked the steering column after I figured it out and noticed that there wasn't one missing but one of them looked newer and was black. Not sure why it was changed out since the other one looks fine.Thanks for the help guys!

The big piece on the bottom is a tail gate. Hope that helps

The bottom Piece is half of a steering column MWO, the 2 plates are backing plates for items requiring additional support so as not to tear the body of the truck and provide additional structural support...for items such as antenae brackets, troop seats etc...
In South Africa they might call it a tailgate but here in the US it's the top of the left fender wellThe big piece on the bottom is a tail gate. Hope that helps
