Your truck has a Cummins in it. It's either the 250 hp naturally aspirated or 8.3 turbocharged. Both of these engines were designed to run on diesel fuel. There are members of this site that run mixtures, but it is not recommended. If you had a deuce with a multi-fuel engine, there would be no problem.

I have heard as much as 50%, but I don't know how they tested it or mixed it. Try 20% and see if it breaks.

If you have free clean hydraulic fluid, sell it and buy diesel. It's worth double.

MIL-T-83133 studied the use of JP-8 in the NHC250. It works so the NHC250 is not *really* a diesel only engine... (ya, ya, running JP-8 is not practical)...

I have read several different post talking about a 20% mix of new oils or a waste oil filtered to 1 micron, but never more than 20%. I have and old quart of 40wt motor oil I am going to dump in mine just to help lube the pump.

Mixed with diesel, yes you will be fine. We service numerous billion dollar company fleet vehicles that burn WMO with their fuel and farmers who do the same. Never had any injection pump, fuel pump or injector issues. So, if you have new hydraulic fluid, you can burn it. If it's used, filter it very good.
