Just a though but has anyone ever concidered cutting out the centre face of those rims and making a flat plate face to decrease the offset??
I have. 1956 M135 and wonder if I will have interferance once I get some rims.

I was just wondering if I would rub tires in the fender well and have less of a turning radius.
The offset of stock M135 rims is 5 1/8 as near as I have found for intel. The offset of the 2 piece rims I would think is at least 7 inches if not more.
Plus a ten inch wide rim as opposed to the stock 7.50 inch.

if its the same as the M35 or MLVW (which i'm uncertain) they will bolt right on. The MLVW rim offset, I think, is a wider track than the old split-rims. Mine bolted up with no rubbing what so ever and it came with the 9.00 NDS tires from the US in dually config. I flipped the rear hubs over as per MLVW spec

You are right that they will bolt right on. One bonus in military mind set. If it works don't change it and have lots of interchangable parts.
As I mention I was curious about interference issues since my rig is stock singles of a narrow configuration.
I will just have to see what happens when I get some since I think I am the first to be going with 2 piece rims on a M135.

if I had to guess, the tracking was not changed meaning they would work. measure your outside hub to outside hub and i'll measure mine. Now i am curious....

According to the TM's the track widths are as such.
Front 71 inches centre to centre, inside tire to inside tire width 59.5 inches, outside of tire to outside is 82 inches.
Rears 66.5 inches centre to centre of tire, inside tire to inside tire width 55 inches, outside of tire to outside of tire is 78 inches.

so the rears track inside more? I know my footprint in snow they all track the same (front and rears) either way i am sure they'd work

Your track the same due to flipping the hubs. In stock dual configuration your front tires track dead centre between your duals. Once you flip your hubs you increase your inside track on a single but reduce your overall outside width foot print.
I am excited to get some 2 piece wheels! I just don't trust the stock ones from 1956. I cleaned them up and repainted them but one hub face has rounded out bolt holes and I am pretty sure another is bent.
Just have to find a way to save some serious dollars!! Being a broke farmer and being the sole provider for a family of five ( daughter born Feb 22 230 am) now puts a damper on getting any work done on my rig which is a my time project.
Some day I will maybe get some me time some day!!! LOL!!

congratulations! i have 2 myself and i'm a self employed sole provider. I know your pain there. I justify my trucks through my business ;)

and yes you are correct on the dual config. yours is set up for singles though, no? maybe I misunderstood that. if it isn't set up, you'd have to flip the hubs.


Definitely do not trust those rims. they do have a life span and yours are likely long past.

Yes I am a huge family man!! I love my kids! My daughter being born this morning just makes life all the more sweeter! My family is my world! I do all I can for my family then worry about myself later!
Yes my rig is stock singles. The M135 has single and the sister model is the M211 which is the more common dual configuration.

Rubbing the wheel wells has not been a problem on my M105 equipped deuce,(tires do run in the wheel well when loaded/offroad). Never had a tire rub anything on the front of my trucks.
