They are nice tires/rims. We have them on all of our deuces.

As for the one bad tire...if you bought it from who I think you bought it from, expect the answer of "too bad". Unless you send it back to him and pay shipping both ways, don't expect too much. Once it leaves the yard there is no warrenty. Another person had the same experience. Hopefully I am wrong.

Can't wait to see some pictures of them mounted on a truck :D
If you are willing to mention "who I think you bought it from", would you send me a private note with the name? I'm new and would appreciate avoiding bad experiences before they occur.

Great work on the truck Davin!
On my M35 I'm carrying the 11R20 Michelin on a stock deuce wheel,(used a 11R20 Radial tube and the 9.00 flap). I have not made the modification yet that is required to mount one of these wheels in that position like the M35A3's. To mount one of these in the spare tire location requires moving the tire winch mount outward, downward, and back. Also flipping the bed mount bolts to the upside makes more room also.

I was thinking of putting a 2nd fuel tank in place of the spare tire mount since I plan to run the 395s and mount the spare in the bed at the front center (hopefully between the troop seats). Has anyone else done that before?

With regards to the extra fuel tank not that I have seen but I'm sure someone here has done it lol. Spare tires I've seen all kinds of clever ideas for.

yea its a complete waste. There are some guys here (WPNS421 I think) who had some down Ottawa/Quebec way and they tried everything to get them on the road. They deemed them not roadworthy highly due to the single cylinder brake sys. PARTS only, and when people were driving them nuts trying to register them they decided just to take them in for scrap. (long and short of it. there may be a bit more to it) ILTis almost met the same fate.
So some did sell. But last i heard even guys who bought them were sending them in for scrap. The wheels are out there but they'll be harder to get. watch CADC because they're always emptying back warehouses. I saw a few skids of wheels and tires go on there but people were bidding waaaaaay too high imo

pisses me off too. We're trying to restore two actual MLVW's before they're gone for good. Funny thing tho is the 2PPCLI here are still using a whole fleet of MLVW and there was some talk of re-building them completely. Those new NAVASTAR trucks are complete JUNK. The reserve unit ones are constantly in for service. Reg force here wont touch em yet. Too big. Too fragile. Not built for purpose.
There must be a way to convert these to a two cylinder brake system. Why scrap when you can convert? Of course, governments are half insane & the other half stupid.

I believe someone makes a kit that mounts under the floor... it's not a huge job either just separated the front and rears I believe. The main problem is they don't want to spend the money on them and mods probably have to be approved by Bombardier or something dumb like that

I can't see this being a very difficult thing. Even mounting a switch and a separate gauge would be easy so both pumps weren't running together. They're actually a problematic pump and can leave you stranded! Having a backup is always a good idea

I just bought another set for my MLVW restoration! Ron are those pictures new? Did you find more ??
Not a new pic.
I need to do a count and see what I have left. Been hanging on to them as I don't want to run out! I checked at our old source a few weeks back and they did not have any.

Ahhh Roger that. The set I just nabbed came a couple here...couple there. It was painstaking.

Please send a picture if possible. Looking of a couple of Canadian rims.
Do you know if the NDT 9:00 x 20 with tube will work with these rims.

They will "fit", they will also look odd (small diameter tires on relatively wide wheels) and I would not waste my time with 9.00-20 on rims as nice as these. At the very least, get some takeoff 11.00R20 or 12.00R20, maybe from someone that upgraded to super singles/MRAP tires. Al least you would reap the benefit of having taller tires (lower engine rpm at the same road speed).
But that is just me.

Do the MLVW wheels push the wheel out slightly vs the stock split ring wheels? in other words is the back spacing less ?

Sorry, I do not know the answer to your question. So far I have not been able to locate
any Canadian wheels so I have not been able to measure them. I would like to know
the answer to your question, too.

If by chance you come across a couple please let me know. I do not need the tires.

My truck is in storage so I cannot get to the rims right now. The Canadian two piece rims are similar to the A3 rims and they are "flatter" than the stock steelies, so that moves the tire closer to the outside of the truck. The rim is also wider, so I am not certain it is less backspacing in the end.
I can tell you that running single 11.00R20 on the stock rims always looked a tad strange from the rear because the tires seemed tucked in; with the Canadian rims it looks just right. The tires sit far enough out where they visually belong.
