If you have a needle scaler and remove the pin part it has the flat hammer you seek. I've used my Ingersol-Rand for that very purpose, vibration is the best way to break a rust grip.

Well I went outside and gave it about 20 some odd raps on the arms on the top and bottom, nothing. Put the nuts on the bolts and tried that, nope.

I put some more pb in the studs and I'll add some heat tomorrow.

My fuel hose came in, not a happy camper. They put a 5/8 flare female on one end and a 5/8 non flare male on the other. Connivence out the window.

Try a small flat head screwdriver right into the gap where the wedge is split. Tap it in and then she will pop right out then grab a beer to celebrate your victory and repeat.

Got it off. 10 lb sledge, 2 cans of pb blaster, a lot of foul language, couple times questioning on selling it, once thinking about setting it on fire, and a crow bar, and a broken grease fitting.

Confused a little on the question.

Are you asking if water getting into the hub normal?

Seals fail, especially when you stress them. The zipper boot failed and now that I have everything off I found another seal that is bad.

Zipper boots are know to fail if not installed correctly and after time rtv will start to get holes in them.

If you do a lot of off roading and muddy water crossing you should check seals and such as a precaution.

So...trying to get the passenger side off using the same method I did on the drivers side and the sledge slipped.

Now I have this problem.

Alright, day 3 of trying to get the passenger side off and nothing, all I'm doing is just beating the arm, damaging the plate between the knuckle and the hydraulic arm on the top, and pissing myself off.

I have spent more in tools to "help" aid this then in actual parts for the project.

Tried to put an air hammer to it, nope.

Heated the side with the bushings still in for 5 minutes with a torch and hitting the arm with a sledge, nope.

Here is where I am, wife is pissed off, I'm getting there and it has to be out of the driveway by the 27th. I am at the point of paying a mechanic to come out and do it, knowing that is going to cost me at least 200 an hour. Wife says have it towed to my grandparents but she doesn't realize that is going to be at least 500 to 1k for 15 miles because of the size of the truck.

Help is needed, help is appreciated, as I'm running low on everything just trying to do the front seals.
