capstan braden winch

were there more than one type of capstan winches for mbs and willys .i have a line on one that looks alot like the braden 2 but slightly different ?

yes and no. The J-2 which was the military version (4 screws on the top plate), and the civy version (3 screws on the top plate). I have the J-2 military version on my '45 MB.
