changing the water pump

I have decided to change the water pump. My M62a2 is running hot. I pulled out the thermostat, made sure that the lower hose doesnt collapse when running, fan is working, there is little water movement when looking in the radiator when the engine is running and checked the temp of the radiator and block after a short trip. The block was reading 220 and the radiator was 130. Are there any suggestions prior to changing out the water pump. What TM should I look in for the water pump? I was planning on putting in new belts while everything is apart.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

TM 9-2320-211-20 should cover that. On a deuce you have to pull the radiator to do it, don't know on a 5 tonner. I'd be betting on a clogged radiator over a waterpump failure. Core may need boiled or rodded out.
