Checking the FMTV fan system

Does anyone know if a fan clutch solenoid from a HMMWV will work for LMTV/FMTV's? I know there'll be some wiring and air line plumbing issues but I just want to know if it can work. Thanks!

I don't think so. One is air and the other is hydraulic.

Nope totally different. HMMWV is hydraulic and FMTV is air

Gotcha, thanks! How about a rebuild kit for the stock version? Mine operates fine, it just needs the ring at the end of the plunger replaced. It leaks pretty severely when the engine controls are switched off. I took it apart to lube it like other threads have said to do. I found the ring at the end of the plunger is visibly deteriorated. I'd hate to pay $300+ to replace the whole unit for a <$1 part. I may try some o-rings form the parts store. If anyone thinks that's a bad idea please let me know.
