civilian trailer hitch

Looking to put a civilian trailer hitch on my 1008. Anyone have any tips and advice before I start, thanks

Tweeder, a lot of folks have installed civilian hitches but they have to do some cutting to the shackle mounts to make it happen. Here's a post from someone who found a way to leave the shackle mounts intact:

I haven't done it yet, but I think I'm going to go with this approach.
