Cleaning CDRs

Was it over Thanksgiving? I had bid on them, then slept in the next morning and missed the close of the auction. My wife said I should have just done the "buy it now" like she told me to. aua

So much for trying to save a few bucks! That was quite a deal considering what the other CDR auctions are going for!
I think I got mine as a buy it now.... It was after thanks giving...

They should not be cleaned. Solvents destroy the diaphragm. They should be tested and if necessary replaced. I outlined it in another CDR thread.

Hard.

The lip is crimped and tough to undo. Taking it apart is the easiest. Putting it back together is the real tough part.

Of course YMMV.

Google "CDR Valve Cleaning" and you will find hundreds of thread talking about the valves. CYCV are not the only trucks to use them.
