My no block heater, M1028 starts pretty well in cold weather down to 0. Yesterday at -8 (low of the night was-19)I thought I'd try it. Reasoning was: Before I take it to the backwoods overnight in extreme cold I wanted to make sure its dependable under these conditions. First crank I almost got it going. Mid. second crank all electrical cut out, nothing. What did I fry?

could be that your cca on one of your batteries is shot, i had that problem with the front battery in my 1008 yesterday but the charging system is acting funny. the gage is riding right between bat and gen, right on the line, think i might need an alternator rebuild, mayby diodes burnt up
