It seems like starting a new thread every time a difficulty arises is a moderator's pain. Perhaps I am wrong and maybe noone will use this but here it is nonetheless. The truck is a 1990 M-998. My current dilemma lies with the rear brake calipers. After noticing some leaking from both sides, I figured I may as well replace the calipers with new ones since just about everything else on the truck has been replaced. After getting them both in, I find that the parking brake no longer works at all. Ran the handle adjustment all the way and it feels like it may be engaging the rotors ever so slightly. No big deal, just needs adjustment. So turning to my handy TMs, I find a nice detail of how and where to adjust the caliper. Unfortunately, the TMs drawings look nothing like my caliper. There is no castle nut used for setting the required gap at the rotor/pad. I know there are other spots along the cable that can be altered but I would like to have an accurate TM, and get this set as it should be. Here are pictures of my TM, the drawing inside and ine of the calipers that came off the truck. And thanks for any help offered.
