with both duals mounted, how much clearance between tires?? and with the axles unloaded they are closer, how much then??

Those sure are purty. That is definitely in my future. However, because 1100 michelins are hard to find, is there a civilian tire of the same size and similar aggressive pattern available? Thanks.

Unfortunately, those XLs are no longer mine. I have sold them to another SS member to pay some bills. They are a great setup and came that way from GL.m-35tom said:

well,lucky me....Found a set of 10.$120 each if I buy all.2 still have the stickers,6 90%+ tread(still have tits on side and flashing) 2 look like about 85%

Anybody a truck driver heading to Fairbanks, Alaska? There are 48 nice tires for sale on GL. It would make a sweet return trip.

NOT XL's, but I was down at Berg Tires in Fayetteville, NC last week picking up a load of tires and noticed that they had about five hundred Goodyear G177 in 1100r20 for $120 each...
For that matter, they had a large supply of Titan T-Hawk NDCC in 1100x20 for $100 each (new) and in 900x20 for $75 each (new)...
I am halfway through replacing the shoes on my vehicles... Don't need to do the Cummins M37 since the Michelins (900r16 XZL's) are still at 95% tread at 30k miles) but all the other trucks needed new rubber...
Anytime that I am headed somebody's way, I can easily run over to Berg's and pickup tires since they are only 45 minutes from the house, and five minutes from one of my offices.
