I've been in Buena Vista for 10 days. Went to Leadville for 2 days and had a great time there. Saw that pass to the east but after Independence decided not to, literally, go there. Made it to the Great Sand Dunes Park way south of here and to Gunnison thru Monarch Pass on Saturday. Went back thru Cottonwood yesterday and all the way to the camp grounds and lake on the other side. It was raining as we went down the unpaved west side. Got back to Cottonwood and again climbed to the top of the mountain to the south. Made it up in 24 minutes, seemed like an hour. Going to Pikes Peak today and back to FL on Wednesday. No rest for a vacationer.
