Not just those guys either. Acela has done that to a bunch of trucks because the owner didn't want to source the bead-locks. Friend of mine with an Acela built A1R had one of his tires go flat from a leak and it popped the bead off the rim. He was not aware till that moment that his truck didn't have any bead-locks in the rims.

IMHO you are always better off getting a surplus truck and taking no one's word for anything having been done to it. The evil you don't know about vs. the evil masquerading as a warranty.
What a shame. Mine was also "fully fine through" and I have a little by list of things completely ignored. Shame govplanet is also such a crap shoot.

Given my experience, I would implore anyone to do the same. Pretty much everyone I have met now that got a truck from where I did has the same story.

based on the additional info in this thread, I inflated the tires from 50psi to 85psi and the vibration reduced significantly, but there is still some. I’m going to try some balance beads and look into newer tires.

If you dismount those paper weights for balance beads just throw them in the dumpster. 12 year old tires are going to get you killed. Those are garbage and should be destroyed so they can't hurt anyone.

Thanks for your replay, I have ordered some 2022/2023 MV/T's. Your right, it's not worth the risk.

Most surplus tire suppliers are selling them in that price range for "less than 5 years old" date codes. I mean - not terrible given these cost about $2k per tire for brand new - 1/3 the cost for 1/2 the life - not that bad all things considered but mounting them is a beast of a job so you're doing that twice as often. Great deal if you can/want to do that job yourself and twice as often. I'm still young enough to do them myself..... for now.

So true GD, I went to my local GY tire center 3 years ago to inquire about new MVTs, ah yeah $1600 per tire.. I contacted Ryan at Colony Tire..and 100% MVTs with date code of @ 2015 were $300… needless to say he shipped 5 to me…and at 62 years old.. I changed all 5 in @ 6 hours… then spent 3 days in the E.R … hahahaha ..lol

Hmmmm… CSM states “100% New High Tread” ..but nowhere do they state a date code , my gut says they are 10 year old tires….
Yeah, I called and paid a $50 premium to get the newest date codes. The normally sell for $550. The tires got to Orlando fast, could have had them Friday, but opted for a Monday delivery. I’ll verify the codes and quality then report back.
