Conversion of wiring from 24v to 12 volt

Ok guy's I really need some help. With the Duece being 24v and my trailer being 12v I need a way to convert the truck and trailer so all lights work. Here is the dilemma I pull this trailer with a regular 2500HD chevy as well as with the duece so I can't change the trailer lights to 24v. I've done some temporary work to get running lights and brake lights. I took 1 battery and connected a wire to the positive. Then I installed a switch inside the truck to turn on for running lights. For brake lights I used a momentary switch with springs connected to it so as you push on the brake peddle the brake lights work. When you let off the sring pulls the switch back up to turn off the brake lights. Now I do not have blinkers nor do I have the brakes on the trailer working yet. My thoughts are to add two more batteries on each side of the poles to have more cranking amps but to also to add the brake wiring to the other set of batteries. This will take care of everything but the blinkers. Does anyone have any thoughts on this. I really need to get this worked out I have a long ride to Pittsburgh for a party I've been booked for and I am definatly going to need brakes for that run. I can get the brakes working but how am I gonna get the blinkers to work?

Please give me all your experience from anyone and everyone on how to do this conversion.

Just to add more info. the trailer I pull is 30 ' and weighs in at 11,225Lbs it has two axles, one axle wired for brakes. I can get everything working with a 4 way flat connector but the blinkers and the brakes. Now if I have 4 deep cycle batteries on my truck I can put the brakes on the negative side batteries and use the pasitive side for the running lights and brakes but what to I do about the blinkers?

If you pull with the civi truck more regularly, leave the lights 12V, get a set of magnetic tow lights and put 24V bulbs in them for use with the deuce. No pain, no swapping of parts.

Are you trying to keep th trailer stock looking? If not add another set of lights with a seperate plug. 1 for 24v and 1 for 12v. This is how I wired my m101a1. Hope this helps.
