Correct cables for VIC-1 with RT-1439

As I see it laid out, looks like the installation is fairly straight forward. However, I cant remember for the life of me, which cables are used on the VIC-1.

But the main question I have here is the hookup between the radio and amp. It looks like a 2-part connection, being a cable from the amp, and one "box" that plugs in between that cable and the radio mount itself. For those of you guys with RT-1439s, how did you wire them up?

From the radio mounting base attach CX-13313/VRC vic interface to J3, and out of interface, connect a CX-13300/vrc cable to J501 on AM-1780/vrc amp.

I bought some from beltfed guy on ebay. You can use the CX-13300 or the CX-4723. The CX-13300 just has an angle to the plug. They are both 18 pin connectors.
