Correct M35 Engine Paint Color?

What is the correct engine color for a Vietnam era M35 series duce when it rolled off the production line?

Which year during vietnam? Just kidding. I have a 68 and a 71, one came with a green engine the other black. Maybe someone knows more than me on this one. Ask wreckerman.

i have 1970 its green gray color.

I had a deuce in the Army 1970-71. Mine had OD semi-gloss paint on the engine, same color as the body. I also drove an M715 and it was also the same color on the engine. My current 1969 Kaiser Jeep deuce is also the same color on the engine.

The engines that were from Hercules were a light baby blue color off the factory line.
