The setting will vary depending on the wire gauge. Sacrifice a few cannectors and figure out what setting is good for the wire gauge you've got.

Crimp tool and mods for packard connectors

To wake up the post, i am repairing right now my M151A2 rear wiring while using the AF8 tool. I just tried to crimp the female connector. For my first attempt, I used the current setting and it is working perfectly. Put selection on number 12 and blue color for the wheel side. It is crimping tight but all good for the female Packard side. I have to test for the male.
