CTIS wheel filter inspect/replace

So I'm working on getting my CTIS working (Yes, I want it working. I'm not going g to remove it.) and I need to check the wheel filters. What's the best way to get the hose off and cap the wheel so I don't lose too much air? Would one of the metal caps from the wheel valve Schrader or backside valve stem be enough?

Get an extra Shrader valve. The metal caps aren't usually sealed very well.

I usually hold the valve ready and move as fast as I can when popping the hose. I spit on the Shrader too so the seal doesn't tear (not sure if they will or not anyways but I always have done that).

It takes like ten minutes for the tire to air down with no valve in it so you have time.

You can steal a valve from almost anything that a bicycle pump will hook up to.
