Assumption is the Mother of all *uckups.

I always assumed and never physically checked the trailer plug voltage.
Military trailer plugs in, gotta be 24v right?!.........wrong!!!

Boy do I feel like an idiot.
Crow tastes terrible BTW.

Your assumption makes too much sense !!!
Military trailers are all 24volt, matching plug on cucv’s.
COMMON sense would tell you they were made to be compatible.
I know a lot about these trucks & seem to learn something new about them all the time.
We all make mistakes from time to time, we learn from it & move on :)

Lesson learned for sure.
I’ll keep shaking my head at my own ignorance on this for quite some time.

The good news out of this..........?
Now I can install Truck-Lite Series 33 LED marker lights on my M101A2’s.
They only come in 12v.
Have these installed on a civilian trailer and their nice and bright.

Most LED's can handle variable voltage. I just bought an LED strobe from truck lite that handles 12 -120 volt. The one I remove with a low door way was 12-80 volt. So truck lite must be improving the lights.
