I bought this in the GL sale a couple weeks ago down in hattiesburg and have been working on it a bit at a time. Last week I herculined the floor inside today it got a new coat of 383 green CARC Im going to just leave it as is I already have a three color camo 1009 in the drive.. Its not near done I have not replaced the broken vent window and the painted over front side marker lights (new ones are on the way like the new tail lights) so why mask them they will be going into the garbage. The seat bases have been painted I have two brand new humvee seats I might use them in this truck or get lazy and sell them instead. I am going to do dogheads starter relay so until done the wires will hang down from behind the dash I am on the hunt for a new dash pad (sold a pristine one to a friend last month) but who knew. The truck runs and drives perfect no vibrations shifts good tires were no good so I had a few spares and made up a set. Heres some before and after pics I was going to sell this off but its pretty hard to find one this nice the body lines are great no doors or fenders out of alignment finally one I dont have to waste a day getting the fenders and doors and hood shimmed out to line up.

Nice work. I finally got my shipment of paint from Rapco Thurs and now I just need to find time to do a little body work -sand and paint before the Ga. rally.
I enjoy painting my 1009s alot more than I do the deuces anymore. Getting older I guess!

Heres some interior shots I did this beacuse chevy trucks are like the older mack R model trucks I never drove one that didnt leak rainwater into it. Its a lot of work but the water just puddles on top of the herculiner no more rusted floors along the kick panels and under the door gaskets and threshold plates the last shot is inside the rear wheel well did I mention I did the whole underside with paint as well?.

here is the marking....
1AE 174 BDE is

First Army, Division East (higher HQs to) 174 Infantry Brigade and sister brigade to ranchhopper's 177 Armored Brigade CUCV.

Both brigades are training brigades and composed of active duty, AGR and mobilized USAR Soldiers who provide pre and post mobilization training (individual and collective) to deploying Warriors at various mobilization stations (Camp Shelby, MS, Ft. Dix, NJ, etc).

Both those CUCVs were driven by OCs (Observer/Controllers) and got dusty from all the training ranges visited during a given unit's training time at a mob center.

Work continues on the camp shelby 1009 replacing all the window runs and rubber door gaskets just waiting for the tailgate window seal that goes into the fiberglass cap this truck is going into its first parade sunday. I had my friend who owns a junkyard a few miles from me call me today saying he just got in an 83 blazer I got down there and it has a lot of nice parts it has grey velour seats front and back I got this gem of a dash pad (already installed in my truck) for some reason it looks creased in the pic but it is just a reflection and a real nice hood for under a hundred bucks.
