Get rid of that set of cables. Unless you need it in place. I would remove it from the truck and discard it. Or get 4 nice clamps and make a good heavy set of jumper cables. Good Luck. I knew it was a dead short. But didn't know you still had the power cables flopping around in the bed.

Ditto what Rick said. Git rid of all that extra wire!!!!!!!

Me either, never game them a thought were ziptied up. Was planning on removing anyway when removing troop seats to re-do them.

If you need the factory wiring/fusible links, let me know. I have a complete set and if I remember right, they were uncut and not modified. Came off for a motor swap and were never reused....

Zip ties and PVC insulation do not play well together. Why? PVC is a rigid plastic, think pipe. To make it flexible, oils called plasticizers are added. Zip ties are nylon and can leach out these plasticizers, making the insulation brittle.
