Cucv gooseneck or fifth wheel pictures

Does anyone have pictures of their cucv towing a goosenck trailer or a fifth wheel? I want to see what theses trucks can really do. Post pictures if you have them.

There is one at Redstone that has a gooseneck hitch in the bed....they butchered the sides for some reason.

I'm not sure how much weight they would carry or how well they would handle with single wheels in back.

IMHO that engine is somewhat anemic but I guess it depends on how much you want to pull with it.

Just remember that it's geared to pull...not run fast on the highway.

if your offering to to buy it... Cool! but like many on this forum, we have to make do with what we have.. and that means sometimes a fifth wheel or G/N on a CUCV.. sometimes "buy a new truck" is not a option..

some times neither is a cucv.

i have an m1008 but any of the variants of the cucv would do.

I understand an M1009 would not work... let me re-phrase any of the pickup truck models of the CUCV would work.

Not a M1010 or M1031 with SECM on back . They are 1 ton chassis.

I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I have a 24' gooseneck trailer and thought if I ever needed to move the trailer around or haul something fairly light, like a set of axles, I could use the CUCV. I don't think I'd use it to tow something like my Jeep on the trailer though.

I see drivers towing 5th wheel trailers all the time with 1/2 ton trucks.
If you wire in a trailer brake controler It should work fine.

I really want to see how they built the 5th wheel hitch on the suburban. I wouldn't think the roof would be very strong on its own

The roof does not support the majority of the wieght.
