Anyone know if GM 19168610 Waterpmp will fit 1985 M1009 6.2 V8 Diesel ?

It shows that water pump is for a 1998-99 6.5 .

I’ve read here and other places that there was a newer design pump so I would think any auto part store will have on as long as it s CW rotation I’m doing my
M1009 this weekend but couldn’t find the right sealant here in my little town
